NWS releases rain totals in Greater Houston, surrounding area

Harris, Galveston counties see up to of 26 inches of rain

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A statement from the National Weather Service Sunday night showed some parts of Harris and Galveston counties have seen up to 26 inches of rain in the last 72 hours.

The most rain was recorded in Harris County at 26.35 inches, with Galveston County trailing right behind at 26.28 inches.
