Obama grants commutation to Flagler woman

FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – President Barack Obama granted commutation Thursday to 58 people, including one woman from Flagler County.

Jasmine Allen, of Bunnell, was sentenced in November 2008 to 235 months in prison for conspiracy to distribute 50 grams or more of cocaine base, managing or controlling a residence for the purpose of unlawfully manufacturing, storing and distributing a controlled substance and distributing 5 grams or more of cocaine base.

Her prison sentence was commuted to expire on Sept. 2.
