Troopers said Reyes-Connor was driving in the right lane and tried to change lanes when he lost control, went off the road and hit a pole, splitting it in half. The rear half of the car went into a retention pond.

Police searched the area and said there was no one else in the vehicle.

Troopers said there was no indication of alcohol or drugs. FHP was working to determine if that or drowsiness played any role.

There was no report of fog in the area, but there was light rain, troopers said.

They don't know where Reyes-Connor was going.

There were traffic delays in the area after the crash.
