1 in custody, 2 sought after Papa Johns robbed

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police are searching for two suspects wanted in connection to a robbery Sunday at the Papa Johns on Dunn Avenue.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office say two men dressed in all black wearing hoodies and ski masks entered the store with handguns and demanded money.

Police say an employee of the store saw a maroon-colored car leaving the lot at a high rate of speed. Police on patrol noticed the car and pursued it.

JSO says the car drove a mile into an area off Key Haven Boulevard. Once the car became stuck in Bethesda Park, three people got out and ran in different directions. Police took one person into custody. The search continues for the other two.

Police said detectives are still going over surveillance and this remains and ongoing investigation.
