Overland Bridge project closes Atlantic Blvd.

Part of the road in San Marco will be closed overnight for 2 nights

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Overland Bridge project will force the closure of part of Atlantic Boulevard overnight Thursday and Monday, according to the Florida Department of Transportation.

Atlantic Boulevard will be closed in the San Marco area under Interstate 95 Thursday evening and again Monday night between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. for installing bridge beams on the I-95 Overland Bridge project.

Atlantic Boulevard westbound traffic will be re-routed to northbound I-95 to Prudential Drive (Exit 350A) to Kings Avenue.

The eastbound detour will be Philips Highway south to St. Augustine Road and returning to Philips Highway north.

Travelers should stay alert and follow the posted 45 mph speed limit throughout the construction zone.
