JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Two men were sentenced Friday in a 2014 attempted murder case.
Lamonte Charles Arrington, 25, was sentenced to 30 years in prison for first-degree attempted murder. His co-defendant, 25-year-old Cordaro Kareem Hilton-Washington, was sentenced to life in prison, with a minimum mandatory of life, for first-degree attempted murder.

Both men were convicted of the charges in August.
In September 2014, Arrington, Hilton-Washington and the victim got into an argument while at the 7-Eleven in Jacksonville Beach. When the victim left the store, the defendants followed him outside and shot the victim multiple times. The two then got into Arrington's car and fled the state.
Arrington was later arrested in Baltimore, Maryland. Hilton-Washington, a former Navy sailor, later turned himself in at the Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, where he was stationed at the time.
