Pastor accused of viewing child porn while working at Disney World

Cedric Eugene Cuthbert arrested on sex charges

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – A 49-year-old pastor who also worked at Disney World was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of viewing online child porn videos at the theme park while preparing a sermon.

Cedric Eugene Cuthbert, who worked as a custodial manager at Port Orleans Resort and pastor at Historic St. James African Methodist Episcopal Church in Sanford, was arrested on charges of solicitation of a minor via computer  and possession of material depicting sexual performance by a child.

According to an arrest affidavit, Disney contacted the Orange County Sheriff's Office in April after it was discovered that Cuthbert had allegedly tried to access websites blocked by the entertainment giant.

A Disney employee also told detectives that Cuthbert downloaded pornographic videos, accessed his personal email account and typed a sermon based on two Bible passages: John 13 and Psalm 148.

According to investigators, Cuthbert viewed several inappropriate YouTube videos posted by young girls and sent them messages such as "you are so cute! Great sexy bodi! Send me a private vid."

The arrest affidavit detailed the pornography that Cuthbert is accused of viewing and also stated that semen was found in Cuthbert's office.

Cuthbert wrote an apology letter to Disney, according to the affidavit.

His current status with the theme park, where he's worked for more than seven years, and his church were not immediately known.
