Pawn shop robber sought by police

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police are trying to identify a man they said robbed a Northside pawn shop Tuesday morning.

Investigators said the man went into Cash America Pawn at 3636 N. Main St. about 10:30 a.m., approached the clerks, drew a black handgun from his pocket and instructed the clerks to open the cash registers.

Once the registers were opened, the man grabbed the cash inside and fled the store toward West 27th Street, where he was picked up by a newer model silver Cadillac Escalade with dark tinted windows and 20-inch chrome wheels, according to police.
