JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting on the Westside that sent one person to the hospital.
It happened at the Hilltop Village Apartments just before midnight. Police say several calls were made to 911 to report the gunshots. Jacksonville Fire and Rescue found that person was shot four times when they arrived. They rushed the victim to UF Health with life-threatening injuries.

Police have not released the name of the victim or person of interest at this time. The Violent Crimes Task Force is handling the investigation.
