Police: 82-year-old man carjacked in NW Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – An 82-year-old man was forced out of his truck by two men last Friday on Myrtle Avenue, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said.

Police said the carjacking happened on Sept. 11 at 3101 North Myrtle Ave. The two men forced the victim out of 2007 silver Dodge Ram truck and fled in his vehicle.

Detectives found that the victim's truck was used for several days and visited a store on Ramona Boulevard. Surveillance video from that store captured four men using the stolen truck for transportation. The vehicle has since been recovered, police said.
