Police: Bank robbery on San Jose Boulevard

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating a robbery at the Jacksonville Bank on San Jose Boulevard.

Police said the robber entered the bank at 10325 San Jose Blvd. at 3:15 p.m., showed a teller a firearm and demanded cash.

The teller complied and the robber fled on foot to the Bowl America parking lot, where he got into a silver-colored, two-door car and drove northbound on San Jose Boulevard, police said. It's unclear if the robber was driving the vehicle or if there was a driver in the vehicle waiting for him.

No injuries were reported.

The robber is described as a white man, about 30 to 35 years old, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, about 140 to 150 pounds. He was wearing a white ball cap, a light-colored plaid shirt and blue jeans. He has a tattoo on the side of his neck.

Police have surveillance photos from the bank and bowling alley and are working to release those to the media.
