JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Part of Beach Boulevard has reopened a collision Thursday evening involving a Jacksonville police cruiser and an SUV.
A police cruiser and an SUV were driving west on Beach at Suni Pines Boulevard about 6:30 p.m. when the SUV stopped at the intersection for other traffic and was rear-ended by the police car.

Of the four people in the SUV at the time, elderly man and woman were taken to Baptist Medical Center as a precaution. The officer complained of pain in his arm but is expected to be OK.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office told Channel 4 that the crash is under investigation.
