Police: Drunk woman passed out at stoplight arrested

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – A 31-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday and charged with DUI and drug possession after police found her half dressed in her car, passed out at a traffic light, according to the Gainesville Police Department.

Police responded to the 2300 block of NW 43rd Street in Gainesville after calls that a driver was passed out at a stoplight.

Officers said they found the vehicle partially in the intersection and the driver, Casey L. McRae, asleep inside with her foot on the the brake and the vehicle in drive. McRae told police she thought she was in Lake Butler.

McRae's shirt was inside out and on backwards and she had no pants on, police said.

She failed field sobriety exams and was arrested. She later provided breath samples of .140 and .131.

Officers found marijuana and a drug pipe in McRae's car.

McRae was booked into the Alachua County Jail about 4:30 a.m. and charged with DUI, marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.

She is being held without bond.
