Police ID men killed in double shooting in NW Jax

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police have identified two men shot and killed outside a nightclub in Northwest Jacksonville nearly two weeks ago.

The men were identified as 42-year-old Stephen Lewis and 41-year-old Christopher Johnson.

Officers were called to the Island Breeze Restaurant and Lounge at the intersection of Palmdale Street and Lem Turner Road around 9:30 p.m. Nov. 16.

They found a car that had been shot at with several rounds and discovered a man lying in the passenger seat suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The man was transported to Shands Jacksonville Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Another man was found dead about 40 yards away from the car, also appearing to have been shot multiple times, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said at the seen there were no suspects.
