JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating after a man was shot on his porch early Friday morning on the Northside.

Officers responded to 1901 West 45th St. reference to a person shot.

When they arrived, a man was located inside the home near Moncrief Road with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the right calf, according to police.

The Violent Crimes Task Force is conducting the investigation.

There were other people inside the house during the incident. The victim was on the porch when he got shot, according to JSO.

There was no immediate suspect information. Anyone with any information about the shooting is asked to call police at 904-630-0500 or Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS.
