One man shot and killed another man armed with a sword or dagger in a dispute on the Westside on Friday afternoon, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Police were called to the shooting at 8600 Buttercup Street just before 1 p.m., where 56-year-old Glenn Tucker was killed.
Police were questioning the gunman, who was apprehended somewhere else but had not been arrested. Investigators said they were trying to determine if the shooting was self-defense.
Officers said the two men knew each other, but they don't know why the men were arguing.
Investigators said the killing does not appear related to a quadruple killing in Murray Hill late Thursday night.
