JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said one of its officers was involved in a crash on the Westside early Sunday morning.
It happened just after 1 a.m. in the 4700 block of Westconnett Boulevard.

Police said a man on a motorcycle was traveling northbound on Westconnett while a marked patrol car was turning left from Bob Lockett Dr. when the crash happened.
The driver of the motorcycle and a woman passenger were transported to UF Health with serious injuries.
The accident remains an open investigation.
