Police search for driver who killed man

Lake City Police: Mario Stewart, 36, likely had seizure and fell into roadway

LAKE CITY, Fla. – Lake City police are on the hunt Thursday for a driver who hit and killed a man who fell into the roadway after suffering from a possible stroke. 

The Lake City Police Department said sometime between 10:45 p.m. on Saturday, August 1 and 12:36 a.m. on Sunday, August 2, someone drove over and killed 36-year-old Mario Stewart.

Stewart appears to have suffered a seizure and fell onto NE Leon Street at NE Calhoun Street.

This road leads to the north side of Shands Lake Shore Hospital. 

Investigators are asking for the public's help identifying the driver.
