Police search for missing Putnam County man

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – A Putnam County man who is reportedly suffering from of a loss of his mental abilities has gone missing in St. Johns County and sheriff's deputies are asking for help finding him.

According to deputies, 71-year-old Raymond D. Wicker was taken to Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine for treatment and then left the hospital on foot.

Deputies said that Wicker is 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighs 182 lbs. and has grey hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing jeans, a dark colored shirt and a dark ball cap.

Wicker lives in Putnam County but does have ties to Jacksonville and Welaka so he may be traveling in those directions deputies said.

Officials also said that because Wicker left the hospital so unexpectedly, they don't believe he has the medication he needs with him.

Foul play is not expected in Wicker's disappearance but anyone with information about where he may be is asked to call police or the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office at 904-824-8304.
