Police seek ID of SunTrust bank robbery suspect

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has released a surveillance photo of a suspect in a robbery at SunTrust Bank on North Main Street on Wednesday. 

Police said about 10:20 a.m. Wednesday, a man  entered the bank at 1700 North Main St., approached a bank employee and demanded cash. The employee complied, and police said the man, who did not display a weapon, fled in a white, domestic pick-up truck with tinted windows that was parked across West 7th Street from the bank.

The truck drove toward downtown, police said.

The man is described as a black man with salt and pepper hair, 5 feet, 7 inches tall, and weighing about 170 pounds. He was wearing a black beanie, black jacket and blue shirt.

Police said they do not believe the robbery is related to any other recent robberies.
