JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Police in Jacksonville are asking for the public's help in identifying a man they said burglarized a car, then returned to the stolen property to stores and obtained cash for the items.

Investigators said the victim's vehicle was burglarized overnight Dec. 24 at a home on Deason Road on the Westside. Numerous items were stolen, including brake pads and a belt tensioner.

Police said the items were recently purchased and the receipts for them were also stolen.

On the same day, a man was seen on surveillance video on two separate occasions returning the stolen property to stores.
