Early voting under way in all Florida counties

Duval, Baker counties began early voting on Monday

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Voters across Northeast Florida are now able to cast their ballots starting Saturday for the upcoming presidential preference primaries, which will be held on March 15.

Florida law requires counties to offer early voting at least 10 days before the election, which is Saturday, although many counties open early voting sooner.  Duval and Baker Counties began early voting on Monday, and most other counties begin Friday or Saturday.

During early voting, voters can vote at any early voting location in their county.  Early voting is not available the day before the election, and on election day, voters must vote at their assigned precinct.

Absentee voting, or voting by mail, is also an option.  Voters can request a ballot through their local elections office at any time up to, and including, election day.
