A group of Central Georgia residents is taking back the streets from criminals.
A group in Rhine rounded up a suspected robber and hand him over to police after a robbery at a small grocery store.
Ken Lowery, 60, says the commotion began around 2:30 p.m. Thursday as he stepped inside Aden's convenience store and encountered the store clerk in distress.
"The lady screamed at me and said I've been robbed he's got a gun, and I gave him all the money," Lowery said.
Lowery says he saw the suspected gunman, later identified as 24 year-old Damien Durham walking down the street making a getaway.
Lowery says more than 20 people, came together; many of them armed, spread out looking for the gunman, in trucks and on foot.
The "posse" ended up tracking Durham down roughly 200 yards away from the store. He was arrested by Dodge County sheriff's deputies and charged with armed robbery. Other charges are pending.
