A 28-year-old woman was arrested Thursday, accused to stabbing her boyfriend when an argument turned violent.
According to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, Shemia Washington stabbed Kiaious Smith at a residentce on Pine Forest Circle just before 10:45 a.m.
Deputies were told Washington grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed Smith at least twice. Washington told she was defending herself after being attacked by Smith, but deputies say her story was inconsistent with Smith’s version of the story.
Smith sustained minor injuries to his arms and declined medical assistance.
Washington was arrested and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. Washington was booked into the Putnam County Jail. Bond was set at $25,004.
