Putnam County bank robber sought

INTERLACHEN, Fla. – The Putnam County Sheriff's Office is trying to identify a man who robbed a TD Bank in Interlachen on Friday morning.

Deputies said the man entered the bank about 10:35 a.m., approached a teller with a manila envelope and demanded money.

The man left the bank with about $3,000 in cash, deputies said.

The robber is described as a black man, about 5 feet 7 to 5 feet 10 inches tall and between 140 and 150
pounds. Witnesses said he appeared to be in his early 20s and was clean shaven with close-cut hair.

The man was wearing a black T-shirt, blue jeans, and light and dark gray tennis shoes with some light blue or turquoise trim. The man was also wearing sunglasses.

Deputies said the robber fled the area in a late model tan/gold Nissan Maxima. The vehicle was last seen
traveling west through the parking lot and is presumed to have traveled west on State Road 20.
