Participants painted the 333 paw prints along Bay Street from the base of the Main Street Bridge to EverBank Field.

Mayor Lenny Curry said when he was invited to participate it was an easy 'yes'.

"Sports is one thing that brings people from every neighborhood together, specifically the NFL" said Mayor Curry. "We go through the week with the issues we face...and having an NFL team brings us all together".

The event was free and open to the public.

The first paw print was painted just after 8 a.m. on Saturday by Mayor  Curry and JAX Chamber CEO Daniel Davis, along with members of their families.

"I've been going to the games since the '90's.  And to be out here as the leader of the city, and to see fans loading up on the buses, that's commitment. That shows what this team has built over the years," said Curry.

Appearances were also made by Jaxson de Ville, the ROAR of the Jaguars, the D-Line and members of the Bold City Brigade.
