Reward Offered In Pre-Christmas Homicide

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – An $8,000 reward was offered on Monday for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of whoever killed a 70-year-old man on the Westside three days before Christmas.

Police said Tommy Munford's body was found Dec. 22, 2006, at the corner of Superior Street and Lowell Avenue. They still have not said how he died, but have classified his death as a murder.

Munford was a member of the International Longshoremen's Association Local 1408, and the union raised the money for the reward. It is being administered by MAD Dads.

The two groups passed out hundreds of fliers around the location where Munford's body was found.
