Mad Dads hold motorcycle ride fundraiser

Ride for Life motorcycle fundraiser held on Southside

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Kickstands went up Saturday morning at Adamec Harley Davidson on the Southside. The ride was done to support families who have suffered a loss because of violence in the city.

'We're going to ride to neighborhoods that are hurting. Where murders have happened. These neighborhoods need to know someone cares," said Donald Foy, president of Mad Dads. "We want neighborhoods to break the code of silence, to tell what they know about the murders and violence that's going on in the community."

A police escort accompanied the riders. The escort was paid for by Mad Dads.

"There's got to be a better relationship between the community and (the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office). It's one of the things Mad Dads is trying to do is get the community to break the code of silence," said Foy.
