JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Dozens of Riverside residents protested against a proposed restaurant and bar called The Roost on Monday night.

The building it would go into is an old De Luxe Launderette on Oak Street, that has been abandoned for 10 years.

Local developers put forward the possibility of opening the 150-seat bar and restaurant. And many local residents are worried about sound and parking.

Residents said they want something smaller.

There will be a zoning meeting on Wednesday at City Hall, and they will make their case to the committee not to re-zone the property.
