JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office would like to make the public aware of road closures for the Jacksonville Landing's Christmas Tree Lighting celebration on Friday, Nov. 23 and the 2012 Jacksonville Light Parade & Holiday Fireworks Spectacular on Saturday, Nov. 24.

Road Closures on Friday, Nov. 23, 2012 – Monday, Nov. 26, 2012:
- Pearl Street from Water Street to the St. Johns River will be closed Friday, Nov. 23, from 8 a.m. through 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 26.
- Hogan Street from Water Street to the St. Johns River will be closed Friday, Nov. 23, from 8 a.m. through 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 26.
- Sister Cities Plaza from Hogan Street to the cul-de-sac will be closed Friday, Nov. 23 at 8 a.m. through 11:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 26.
Road Closures on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012:
- Coastline Drive from The Jacksonville Landing to Newnan Street will be closed Saturday, Nov. 24, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Bridge Closures on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012:
Sections of the Acosta Bridgeand Main Street Bridge will be closed in advance to prepare for the Jacksonville Light Parade & Holiday Fireworks Spectacular.
- Northbound lane and sidewalk of the Acosta Bridge will be closed on Saturday, Nov. 24, from 10 a.m. until after the fireworks have been cleared (4-5 hours post show).
- Southbound lane and sidewalk of the Acosta Bridge will be closed on Saturday, Nov. 24, from noon until after the fireworks have been cleared (4-5 hours post show).
- Northbound lane and sidewalk of the Main Street Bridge will be closed on Saturday, Nov. 24, from 2 p.m. until after the fireworks have been cleared (4-5 hours post show).
- Southbound lane and sidewalk of the Main Street Bridge will be closed on Saturday, Nov. 24, from 2:00 p.m. until 11 p. m.
There are no scheduled closures on the Mathews Bridge from Wednesday, Nov. 21 until the evening of Monday, Nov. 26, 2012. Please utilize this bridge and the Hart Bridge when coming downtown during these events.
The Jacksonville Landing's 26thAnnual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held on Friday, Nov. 23, 2012 from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. For more information about this event please go to www.jacksonvillelanding.com.
The Jacksonville Light Parade will start at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012. The event can be viewed along the Downtown Riverfront (north and south banks).
