JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office was searching for a white Ford Mustang after a man was robbed and shot in the Springfield area early Tuesday morning.
Officers responded to Eighth Street near Liberty Street around midnight in reference to a person shot. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said the 47-year-old victim was jumped by two people in the hallway of an apartment building. They said one had a gun and demanded he empty his pockets and hand over his car keys.
The victim gave his keys to the man who didn't have a gun, police said. They said as the gunman turned to leave the building, the victim grabbed him, and the gunman shot him twice in the abdomen.
A friend took the victim to UF Health Jacksonville.
Police are looking for a 1998 white Ford Mustang with Florida license plate L751T.
