Rocket lifts off carrying supplies to ISS

Successful launch to ISS

KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. – A rocket carrying supplies to the International Space Station successfully launched at 12:52 p.m. Sunday.

After weather delayed the launch, clear skies enabled space center officials to have a lift off Sunday afternoon, officials said.

The Antares rocket will remain at the ISS for 30 days, where the crew will load it with materials designated for disposal back on earth.

Officials said this will be a commercial re-supply for the ISS.
