FERGUSON, Mo. -

When a Jacksonville father decided to travel to Ferguson, Missouri, he had one mission: to talk with the family of Michael Brown.

Ron Davis said he understands what the Brown family is going through. His son, Jordan Davis, was shot and killed in 2012 at a Jacksonville gas station after an argument over loud music.

Channel 4's Kumasi Aaron asked Ron Davis as they traveled to Ferguson how he would define success for the trip. Ron Davis told Aaron if he could hug Michael Brown's family and give them some kind of comfort, that would be success.

Ron Davis met with Michael Brown's father, Michael Brown Sr., Saturday afternoon. Ron Davis made the visit with Cephus Johnson, better known as Uncle Bobby. Johnson's nephew, Oscar Grant, was shot and killed by a police officer while unarmed at an Oakland train station.

"I told him that there was a circle of fathers that would be engaging him, loving him and standing with him so he wouldn't have to feel like he's doing this alone," said Johnson.

Johnson and Ron Davis shared the story and a connection with Tracy Martin. His son, Trayvon Martin, was shot and killed by a neighborhood watchman in Sanford, Florida.

The three said even though the circumstances surrounding them meeting are sad, they've become like brothers.
