Satsuma woman arrested for grand theft

PALATKA, Fla. – A 25-year-old Satsuma woman is behind bars Friday after deputies said she stole a woman's purse from a shopping cart at a CVS in east Palatka and then used a credit card stolen from the purse.

Deputies with the Putnam County Sheriff's Office said surveillance video captured images of Megan and Billy Graham walking through the CVS on July 14 and Megan Graham stealing the victim's purse.

Officials said that a short while later, a credit card that was taken out of the purse was used at a Hastings convenience store in St. Johns County.

According to officials, detectives posted images from the surveillance video on the Sheriff's Office Facebook page, and within a short time, several anonymous callers identified Megan and Billy Graham.

"This arrest was made possible because of all the tips and leads I received that stemmed from the Facebook posting," detective Reinert with the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office said.

Megan Graham was arrested on one count of grand theft, and charges are pending in St. Johns County for both Megan and Billy Graham for using the stolen credit card, officials said.
