Flagler County teen with autism found safe

Flagler County Sheriff's Office: Teen found safe Monday morning

The Flagler County Sheriff's Office have found a teenager they say has been missing since Sunday afternoon. 

Deputies found 16-year-old, Eli Rotermund lying on a park bench along the bike trail near Pine Lakes Parkway, at 12:25 a.m., Monday.

Deputies say he was found safe and has been returned home.

Rotermund was reported missing on Sunday, August 23rd.

He was wearing khaki cargo shorts, a black 'Walking Dead' T-shirt, a camouflage 'Duck Dynasty' baseball hat and grey shoes.

Eli is 5 feet 6 inches and weighs about 160 pounds. He has short dark hair, a thin build, brown eyes and black hair.

The sheriff's office says the teen is severely autistic and has the mental capacity of an 8-year-old.
