Security changes in effect at EverBank Field

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – With the first Jaguars preseason game Friday night, changes are coming to EverBank Field.

Starting this season, fans will only be able to bring small, clear bags into the stadium. The policy is already in effect at several other NFL stadiums.

Jaguars President Mark Lamping says he hopes this change will make things easier and safer for fans on game day.

"With the implementation of these new procedures, once our fans get used to it, what will happen is it will make it faster for you to get through the gates of EverBank Field," Lamping said. "The reason is, like in years past, you're not going to have to have your individual bags inspected. That took time last year. And once we have these bags, that part of the process will be eliminated."

Official NFL clear bags are available for sale at the stadium and at Daily's stores around Jacksonville.
