Semi-automatic rifles stolen in Fernandina Beach

FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. – Three semi-automatic rifles were stolen from a pawn shop on South 14th Street in Fernandina Beach early Tuesday morning, according to the Fernandina Beach Police Department.

The burglar or burglars broke the glass out of a front door and took the weapons. No other items were stolen, police said.

Asst. Police Chief Mark Foxworth said the alarm from the pawn shop came in at 6 a.m. but there was a delay in getting word to police. The pawn shop's surveillance system has been down, so no images of the suspects were immediately available.
