Sheriff's office bomb team detonates container

LAKE CITY, Fla. – The Alachua County Sheriff's Office was called in to assist the Lake City Police Department dispose of potentially hazardous material.

Deputies said people were cleaning out a former pharmacy when someone discovered a small container of crystallized picric acid. It's highly sensitive and can be explosive.

The Alachua County Sheriff's Office bomb team removed the container using a bomb disposal robot. They relocated the container to a safe area for disposal by detonation. Deputies posted the video on the sheriff's office Facebook page.
