ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – A 32-year-old Broward County man has been identified as a suspect in a St. Johns County Compass Bank robbery last Tuesday afternoon.

Styffe is accused of entering the bank on U.S. 1 South last Tuesday at 2:37 p.m., approaching a teller and demanding money. Deputies said he fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

A witness obtained a license plate number of a vehicle the suspect fled the scene with, deputies said.

Investigators said that prior to the robbery, the suspect removed two tags from vehicles parked at Flagler Hospital in an effort to conceal his identity.

Evidence obtained at the scene of the robbery identified Styffe as the possible suspect, deputies said.

An arrest warrant was obtained by St. Johns County detectives late last week. Styffe was tracked to South Florida and was located by the U.S. Marshals on Monday morning and taken into custody, deputies said.

Styffe is also a suspect in a Volusia County bank robbery and an attempted bank robbery in Flagler County late last month as detectives in those counties continue their investigation.
