The Miami Herald reported a brawl broke out between four to five women and a man because there wasn't enough food and utensils. When Wilson Alexis tried to intervene, shots were fired. He was taken to a hospital where he died.

The party was being thrown for a 5-month-old boy. But dozens of people with no ties to the family showed up and the party got out of control.

The homeowner called police, but the fight escalated before they arrived.
