JACKSONVILLE, Fl. – The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department responded to a house fire on Peach Drive on the Southside early Friday morning.
Two dozen firefighters responded to the scene, and it took them 25 minutes to put the fire out. No one was inside the home.

The man renting the home said he was at the gas station when the fire broke out.
JFRD said the fire caused heavy damage, destroying two of the bedrooms.
The State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause.
