ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The municipal offices of the city of St. Augustine lost phone service Monday morning in an issue that was affecting the entire region.
Anyone attempting to contact city offices was met with a busy signal.

Service began being restored shortly after noon. By mid-afternoon, service appeared to be fully restored.
Emergency calls to 911 were not affected.
City staff worked to ensure that all public safety issues were handled first and routed some important phone lines to specific cellphones to maintain communication until full service could be restored.
