St. Augustine woman convicted of stalking sentenced

Tawny Blazejowski sentenced to 9 years in prison

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – A St. Augustine woman convicted of eight felony counts in connection with allegations that she threatened and extorted six people over eight months will spend the next nine years in a state prison facility, according to state attorneys.

Tawny Blazejowski, 41, entered pleas of no contest to three counts of threatening or extorting others, three counts of aggravated stalking and one count of falsely reporting child abuse or neglect on Aug. 14, state attorneys said.

Authorities said Blazejowski will be placed on two years of house arrest followed by four years of probation upon her release from prison.

Circuit Judge J. Michael Traynor heard testimony for more than four hours detailing the repeated threats and instances of stalking that Blazejowski directed at a former boyfriend and his family members.

State attorneys said Blazejowski made false reports to law enforcement about crimes that never took place, made false allegations of abuse to the Department of Children and Families, phoned CrimeStoppers with false criminal leads, and falsified allegations of extra-marital affairs between the victim and his coworker.

Ultimately, the victim in the case lost his job, was arrested but was not charged, and was investigated by several state agencies due to the false claims made by Blazejowski, state attorneys said.
