Things all got started around 11 a.m., with a safety meeting at the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office before the group split up into teams and headed out to different areas of the county.

One of the first stops was to check in on a predator that has been living in the backyard of a trailer. According to the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office, the owner said he has permission to live there.

Another picture showed the St. Johns County team walking through the neighborhood to check on a few more predators they know have been in the area. They also stopped to talk to neighbors. In total, the Sheriff’s Office said there are 238 sexual offenders and 23 sexual predators in the county.

Investigators then went to check on another sexual predator on the island. They say that person was convicted of lewd and lascivious actions on a 12-year-old.

So far, the Sheriff’s Office has not posted any updates of any issues with those they encountered on their countywide operation Thursday.
