ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – A 47-year old St. Johns County man is accused of pointing a gun at a motorist on Old Moultrie Road on Wednesday, then waving that gun and firing it during a confrontation with his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend outside a Ponte Vedra Beach home.
According to the Sheriff's Office, Waring Elliot Barbee, was in the back seat of a car about 11:45 a.m when he pointed a gun at the driver of the car behind him.

Deputies said Barbee arrived at a home on San Juan Drive at 1:35 p.m., looking for his ex-girlfriend and her boyfriend. Witnesses said that during the confrontation with a woman at the house, Barbee began waving a handgun around and making threats to the victim, even firing the handgun once.
No one was hurt.
The Sheriff's Office said Barbee had stole the handgun from his employer earlier Wednesday morning.
Barbee was arrested on two counts of aggravated assault and one count of grand theft of a firearm. He was booked into the St. Johns Couny Jail, where he remains on bonds totaling $25,000.
