A new study shows pregnant women should stay clear from sick people to avoid their child being at risk of asthma.
The Daily Mail reports a study published in the Annals of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology journal shows the child is at risk of suffering from asthma when a woman comes down with a cold while pregnant.
The risk increases every time an expectant mother catches an illness, whether a cold or a viral infection.
Asthma is not the only thing babies are at risk of. The study revealed babies are also at risk of allergies. The study says the baby's environment in the womb is affected.
Researchers studied women and their children who were exposed to dust mites. The study found that a environment of a higher exposure to dust mites caused a greater chance of kids becoming allergic to dust.
