JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A driver is in critical condition after hitting a line of trees on Touchton Road.
A green Mercury Mountaineer crashed into trees shortly before 2:30 a.m. on Touchton Road east of Southside Blvd.

Jacksonville Fire-Rescue cut the driver out of the SUV. He is at UF Health with life-threatening injuries. His identity has not been released.
All eastbound lanes of Touchton were blocked and traffic was diverted onto Deer Lake Ct. until around 7:30 a.m.
