Taser used on man after running during traffic stop in Starke

More than 25 grams of heroin found in vehicle, deputies say

STARKE, Fla. – A man who ran during a traffic stop was hit by a Taser by police after throwing a bag of drugs over a fence.

Police said during a traffic stop, the officer asked the passenger, Roland Terrell Greene (pictured above right), 29, to exit the vehicle after smelling the odor of marijuana from the car. That's when Green got out of the car and ran east across Highway 301 before throwing a Ziploc bag over a fence into a yard.

When Greene wouldn't stop, the officer said he was forced to use his Taser.

Police said the Ziploc bag thrown over the fence was found to have 3.4 ounces of heroin inside of it and that Green was found to have $2,420 in his pocket.

In addition to the heroin thrown over the fence, a search of the vehicle provided another 25 grams of heroin, 14 syringes loaded with heroin and a pipe.

Green was charged with resisting without violence, heroin possession and trafficking heroin.

The driver of the vehicle, Brandon Clifford Graese (pictured above left), 30, was charged with knowingly driving with a suspended or revoked license, heroin possession, trafficking heroin and possession of drug equipment.
