Parker made his first appearance in federal court Thursday. He was released on a $20,000 unsecured bond.

According to the indictment, Parker stole personal identifying information, including the names and Social Security numbers of multiple people who sought the tax consulting services of his company, Certified Tax Consultants.

From January through February 2012, Parker used the information to electronically file numerous fraudulent tax returns, according to the indictment. The tax refunds were directly deposited into Certified Tax Consultants' bank account, according to the indictment.
