Clay County deputies said that the night of March 1, a shot was fired among a group of dozens of juveniles outside the restaurant.

Investigators said there was a fight outside the Orange Park Mall and AMC 24 theater on Wells Road about 9:30 p.m. and the crowd was forced to leave the property.

About 40-50 juveniles left and went instead to the Chick-fil-A restaurant across the street, deputies said.

A short time later, deputies received calls reporting shots fired outside the restaurant. They said the first deputy arrived and a 14-year-old boy fled from him. He was pursued on foot by the deputy and arrested, but his identity was not released.

Deputies said a gun was not recovered and no one was injured.

The 15-year-old is the second teen from Jacksonville to be arrested in connection to the incident.

The Clay County Sheriff's Office said it has stepped up enforcement efforts in the Wells Road corridor since March and juvenile-related incidents and complaints have declined as a result.
